The European Council for Fatwa and Research condemns the terrorist attack that victimised 49 martyrs and injured tens. The ECFR strongly rejects .the horrible attack that led to killing and injuring innocent people coming to worship God

The ECFR stresses that it rejects every action that sheds innocent blood and spreads corruption on earth, regardless of whom the perpetrator is and which faith he has. In our great religion, humans’ rights are respected and killing is prohibited and deemed one of the most serious sins. Allah says: “if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.” (Trans.)

The ECFR urges the authorities in New Zealand to fulfil its duty regarding this attack that terrorised innocent people in Allah’s houses and inflect a deterring punishment on the perpetrators. This will protect citizens and organizations. It will confirm freedom of belief and freedom of religious practices for all.

The ECFR urges the European countries in particular and all countries in general to conform Islamophobia, as it has become a phenomenon, encouraged by some politicians and media people that threatens Muslims in a number of countries.
The ECFR urges Muslims to avoid unmeasured reactions and to be responsible and condemn this atrocity in a legal and civilised way.
